"I’m still here" is a powerful portrayal of a moment in Brazilian history that traumatized many people. In a well-constructed atmosphere, the viewer enters the country’s past, a past that the country itself denies and ignores, and this makes the experience of watching "I’m still here" even stronger in the cinema in Brazil.
Of all the Brazilian filmmakers, Walter Salles stands out for his talented direction and interesting photography, and the production is truly impressive
The actors are talented and I want to highlight the younger actors who definitely give the film the touch of depth and beauty that is needed to feel the "magic of cinema". As for the kind human side present in “I’m Still Here”, it’s wonderful to see a film from a filmmaker who truly understands cinema, who doesn’t present alienated ideas, but rather pure and genuine human expression.
Beautiful film, beautiful message and beautiful acting
As a Brazilian, of course I will support Walter Salles' a work that should be nominated for an Oscar, but I think that the goal to talk about national cinema again has already been achieved.
