American (English) remake of the French film series HPI (2021)

Scenario

Follows Morgan, a single mother of three, and how thanks to her exceptional mind, she is able to help solve a crime while rearranging evidence during her shift as a cleaner at the police department. Despite her sky-high IQ, excellent memory, and extensive knowledge of the arcane, Morgan makes a number of basic legal mistakes that anyone who has ever watched a TV show about the law would know not to make.

Nor could it be used to obtain other evidence - violation of the "fruit of the poisonous tree" legal doctrine

In episode one, for example, she obtains a document from a locked safe in the suspect victim's law office that would never be admissible in court - illegally obtained evidence. In Episode 2, she has to be reminded to wear gloves before handling evidence at a crime scene, and in Episode 3, she removes all documented evidence from the police station, totally breaking the chain of custody and rendering whatever she removed no longer admissible in a court of law.

Loved, loved, loved the original

HPI Remake (2021). I don’t expect this to be the same (the original was French for goodness sake, with an amazing cast, and that certainly added to the show’s frenetic flavor and pace).

This version certainly has some serious potential of its own

Still, the high-potential concept and stories are solid (assuming they tell some of the same stories), so I’ll give the American version a chance — certainly more than one episode — and allow this cast to make it their own.
